Terms of use

The Kniwwelino plateform is a web-based application allowing users to create programs for the Kniwwelino using visual programming blocks. The Kniwwelino also allows users to upload the resulting programs to their Kniwwelino over the Internet.

The platform is based on ArduBlockly and Google Blockly.

The Kniwwelino platform is presented “as is” and any express of implied warranties, including but not limited to the implied warranties of fitness for a particular purpose are disclaimed.

In no event unless required by applicable law or agreed in writing will LIST be liable for damages, including any special, incidental or consequential damages arising out of the use or inability to use Kniwwelino platform (including but not limited to loss of data).

By using the Kniwwelino platform, you have the option to simply save your projects on your local hard drive.

You can also decide to share your programming projects by clicking on the button ” share project”. By sharing your projects with LIST, you grant LIST and all Kniwwelino users, permission to use your programming projects including, without limitation the rights to copy, distribute, transmit, publicly display, publicly perform, reproduce, edit, translate and reformat your programming projects. You agree that no compensation will be paid with respect to the use of your programming project.

Similarly, you can copy, distribute, transmit, translate, edit, reformat the programming projects made at your disposal on the platform by LIST on the condition that it will not be for commercial purposes.

When using the Kniwwelino platform and hardware, you commit that:

  • You will not use Kniwwelino platform and Kniwwelino hardware for advertising purpose and commercial communications
  • You will not use Kniwwelino platform and Kniwwelino hardware to do anything unlawful, misleading, malicious or discriminatory
  • You will not upload viruses or other malicious or destructive code
  • You will not use hate speech and promote violence against individuals or groups
  • You will not engage in harassing, bullying or threatening behaviour
  • You will not distribute pornographic or sexually explicit material.
  • You will not publish and share anything in breach of Intellectual Property from third Parties
  • You will not post content that infringes or violates someone else’s rights or otherwise violates the law

You can at any time stop using the Kniwwelino platform. Moreover LIST reserves the right at any time to suspend or end the services or to block the connection of your Kniwwelino hardware to the platform.

LIST reserves the right to periodically publish updated or new versions of the present terms of conditions of use.

These terms and conditions of use are subject to the laws of Luxembourg. In case of disputes concerning the validity, interpretation, executions of those terms and conditions, the Courts of Luxembourg will be exclusively competent.

Data privacy

We at LIST respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information in compliance with the applicable legislation and in particular with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679.

When you register on the platform, you will have to provide your name as well as an email address of yours. It will allow us to manage your personal account and to allow you to have access to your account in the future. We will also register your IP address for being able to trace back the changes made on the platform, to credit contribution and avoid misuse. When you connect your Kniwwelino to the Wi-Fi, you will be asked to enter an SSID password. This information is only stored on your Kniwwelino device and will not be transmitted to any of our servers or third parties. We will also store your Kniwwelino MAC address to be able to deliver your software updates and your software projects. When you fill in the feedback form we ask you also your name and e-mail if you want LIST to reply to you. LIST will process and record those data only in relation to the above-mentioned finalities and in accordance with the applicable legislation. LIST will treat your data confidentially and will not communicate your data to third parties without your consent.

We will only keep your data for as long as we need it to give you access to your account and to give you credit for your contributions.

You can access, review, update, correct or delete the personal data you have provided us by sending an email at the following address dpo@list.lu. You can also at any time decide to close your account by sending an email to dpo@list.lu.

A cookie is a piece of data that a Web site can send to your browser, which may then be stored on your computer or mobile device as a tag that identifies your computer or mobile device. We use cookies on our website for its technical functioning and for gathering statistics as well as to improve the user experience (recognise the user and provide with quick settings about the Kniwwelino used). Cookies used by LIST are generated by Matamo, Dokuwiki or Google Analytics and enable us to track the following information about visitors. We use this information to prepare aggregated, anonymous statistics reports of visitor activity and we do not transmit this information to third parties:

  • Date and time of the visit of the site
  • Title and URL of the page being viewed
  • Main language of the browser being use

If you have given us your consent regarding the cookies, the cookies are stored on your browser for 13 months. You might decide at any time to withdraw your consent by using the “do not track” feature of your browser.

We reserve the right to modify, alter or otherwise update this Privacy Policy at any time, so we encourage you to review this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes that we consider material in our privacy practices, we will notify you in this space. We may also attempt to notify you of any such material changes to our privacy practices via email or by placing a notice on our home page.

As already stated, for any question or remarks you may have about our data policy or the way we handle your personal information, you can contact LIST and its Data Protection Officer by sending an email to dpo@list.lu.

If you think that we are not complying with data protection laws, you have a right to file a complaint at the National Commission for Data Protection / Commission nationale pour la protection des données (« CNPD »):
